George P. Thomas has many years of experience and knowledge in matters of Administrative Law and archaeological cases, cases of promotion and reconstruction of preserved buildings and buildings classified as “Monuments”, as well as cases where construction of real estate comes to a halt due to them being in archaeological sites. Moreover, he has handled many cases concerning compensation of owners for reasons of deprivation of use and exploitation or acquisition due to a construction ban by the Ministry of Culture.

He has successfully handled numerous cases in front of Archaeological Council and the Supreme Administrative Court. He was head of the drafting committee of the Law 3028/2002 titled “For the protection of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage in general” and rapporteur of the aforementioned Law in the Greek Parliament.
